Fun Music Sessions for Older Adults
Music has been proven to have many benefits especially later on in life.
Have you always wanted to learn a musical instrument?
Played one in the past and would like to play music once again?
Would you like to meet with other people?
Like to keep physically and mentally active?
If you said yes to any of the above and you like to have fun then these sessions are for you!
Our 45 minute group sessions are great fun and interactive. You will learn to make music in small groups so why not bring a friend along and learn together? There will be plenty of fun challenges and awards up for grabs.
You will learn music notation and rhythm, different musical styles and genres, discover old and new composers and by the end you will be able to play and tap along to some of your classical, pop and musical favourites, compose your own tunes, have a great sense of rhythm, as well as perform together. The group sessions are centred around learning the piano but all instrumentalists are welcome. You don't even need to be musical to attend!
Sessions run in 3 x 10 week blocks, October - July, and will be at another venue. You are welcome to book a trial session - contact us for details. All resources provided. At the end of the year, you will have the opportunity to perform at the end of year recital.
